Yes, you read that right! Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have announced they are launching Quarantine Wine.
These two great actors and partners in real life are partnering with Nocking Point Wines and Battle Creek Cellars in order to produce a variety of wines.
They said that the idea was inspired by having virtual drinks and meals with their friends during lockdown.
They will bottle the Quarantine Pinot Noir 2018 from grapes sourced from the Willamette Valley in Oregon and made by winemaker Sarah Cabot of Battle Creek Vineyards.
The price quoted is 50$ for 2 bottles and a special price of 40$ it’s available for members of Nocking Point’s wine club. It’s already available to purchase now and will be shipped in early May.
A great marketing idea
If until this point you didn’t find anything special about it, let us tell you that the packaging features an “interactive label” which can be written on! How cool is that?
Like this customers are encouraged to write or draw anything on the label, and share the image on social media using the hashtags #quarantinewine, #ppe and #socialdistancing to spread the word.
The actress suggests toasting to yourself if “you’re home with your damn kids.”
What is more amazing?
The fact that 100% will be donated to charities helping coronavirus-relief efforts.
Mila Kunis stated that “One hundred percent of the profits will go to a handful of charities that we have done homework on … to make sure they do the work they’re supposed to do — that their outcome is visible,” Kunis, 36, says.”
she researched about these 4 charities they want to invest, in order to be sure that they will do what they are supposed to do with the money.
GiveDirectly, which gives cash grants to low-income families on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in the areas hardest hit by Covid-19;
Direct Relief, a charity providing medical equipment for frontline workers;
Frontline Responders Fund, an initiative which buys and delivers PPE and ventilators to medical facilities;
And America’s Food Fund, a collaboration between Feeding America and World Central Kitchen which provides reliable and safe access to food.
